On February 4, the Quebec Multi-Residential Investment Forum brought together industry leaders for an important conversation on the future of housing and urban development in Montréal.
Daniel Arbour, Vice President, Development – Major Projects at MACH, participated as a panelist in the discussion titled “Two New Neighbourhoods Within the Next Decade.” During the session, he presented Quartier des lumières, a transformative project located east of downtown that is helping redefine an iconic site into a modern, inclusive and sustainable neighbourhood.
Designed around mixed uses and diverse residential typologies, the project will deliver thousands of housing units, including social and affordable housing.

With a strong emphasis on pedestrian-friendly planning, quality of life and active mobility, Quartier des lumières is rooted in principles of sustainability and urban innovation. The vision is to create a human-scale living environment that reflects the needs and values of Montréal’s communities.
The discussion highlighted the key role Quartier des lumières will play in shaping Montréal’s multi-residential landscape and in driving the responsible transformation of the eastern downtown core.
