Welcome to the first Quartier des lumières newsletter of 2026.
With teams back in January and the first signs of spring in the air, the construction site is entering a new and active phase. Work is progressing steadily, and the coming weeks will mark key structural milestones for the project.

UPCOMING CONSTRUCTION MILESTONES
Since the beginning of 2026, work on the new streets — Gauchetière, Visitation and Panet — has continued, helping to structure the heart of the future neighbourhood.
In spring 2026, construction will begin on the foundations of the 13-storey residential tower at the corner of Alexandre-De-Sève and the future Gauchetière Street.
In summer 2026, the building will begin to rise above ground, marking a bright milestone in the creation of an inclusive, sustainable and vibrant neighbourhood.

DANIEL ARBOUR AT THE QUEBEC MULTI-RESIDENTIAL INVESTMENT FORUM
On February 4, Daniel Arbour, Vice President, Development – Major Projects at MACH, participated as a panelist in the Quebec Multi-Residential Investment Forum.
He presented Quartier des lumières, a project that will help transform Montreal’s eastern downtown core into a modern, inclusive and sustainable living environment.

HERE, THE LIGHT SHIFTS WITH THE SEASON
As the days grow longer and milder weather gradually settles in, the construction site will maintain its steady pace in the coming weeks.
The return of warmer temperatures will allow us to begin specific outdoor interventions, marking new and visible milestones in the project’s evolution.
We thank you for your continued patience and cooperation during this active period.
Exciting progress lies ahead.
