In this issue, you’ll find the latest project updates and a look at the milestones ahead. As winter quietly settles in, discover the ongoing work and the major steps that will shape the evolution of this vibrant and sustainable district.
UPCOMING CONSTRUCTION MILESTONES
In February, the first crane will be installed, officially marking the start of construction for Quartier des lumières.
In March, work will begin on the foundations of the 13-storey residential tower located at the corner of Alexandre-De-Sève and the future De la Gauchetière Street.
Early in 2026, the creation of the new street network — including De la Gauchetière, Visitation, and Panet streets — will continue, helping structure the heart of the future district.
In parallel, design and planning for the upcoming phases will progress to ensure the project evolves smoothly and cohesively.
By spring, the new building will begin to rise above ground, marking a key step toward creating an inclusive, sustainable, and lively neighbourhood.

DID YOU KNOW?
Quartier des lumières is reaching a major milestone with the construction of its very first building: 256 modern residential units of various sizes, designed to accommodate awide range of lifestyles, along with a ground-floor commercial space that will help energize the neighbourhood. But this is only the beginning!
The historic street grid will soon be reinstated with the extension of De la Gauchetière Street and the reconnecting of the cross streets — a nod to the site’s past and an important step toward creating a lively, connected district that stays true to its roots.

THE CONSTRUCTION SITE PAUSES FOR THE HOLIDAYS
The construction site will pause at noon on December 19, 2025, and resume on January 5, 2026, giving our teams a well-deserved moment of rest. Work will start up again on January 5. As the holiday season approaches, the entire Quartier des lumières team extends its warmest wishes to you. May this time of year bring softness, light, and meaningful moments with the people you care about.
